I thought it would be excellent to have a small pot of coffee, but this is too small to work excellent. I finished up buying a 10 cup pot and I waste less coffee.

  Not Really a 4 cup percolator….only holds 2 cups of liquid water. No auto shut off….you must unplug unit.

  This coffee maker is ideal to pack in a suitcase and take on vacation. I recently stayed at a hotel that did not have a coffee maker in the room. This worked very well for morning coffee. There are no filters to worry about, it is light weight and simple to use.

  I am very disappointed with this product. I wanted a small, handy hot pot to heat water for coffee/tea/soup at home or traveling. I used it nearly everyday, once or twice a day. After one month of usage, it stopped heating. I guess you get what you pay for. There is a certain need for an appliance like this and I thought this was it. It sure was NOT. Don’t waste your money.

  Bought two pots, the first broke after one use. The second stop working after the third pot of coffee. Quality control lacking.

  I should have read the reviews. The time span for life of this product is about a month. I gave one to my mother for Christmas and it is already dead. Will not heat. I would give it less than one star.

  I chose Bodum because I wanted a glass water pitcher that would be elegant yet functional. The pitcher is fantastic for what I needed. I do not use the plastic filter. The lid cap is hard to keep tightly sealed with the rest of the lid seal. I have not checked if this would work better if I used the plastic filter? I just don’t want my daily water to have plastic standing in it all day.

  this is a fantastic machine. it makes perfect cappuccino and coffee, with very small work. if you can afford it get it. the only reason mine went back is that there are alot of plastic parts inside the machine, that I could see wearing out. At this price point I don’t want to see plastic parts. but my friend has had his machine for over two years with no issues.

  I was really excited to get this machine, hearing lots of excellent reviews about it and exploring the over 200 fabulous (sounding) flavors that are offered. But, when i got the machine, there was only one taste i could find: bitter. I tried over 15 different k-cups, ultimately only liking one, the cafe mocha (escape). None of the flavors could be taste properly. Gingerbread, hazelnut, french vanilla, breakfast blend: BLECH!
  
  *If you are the person who goes to Starbucks for flavored coffees and frappuccinos, do NOT buy!
  
  The only reason i gave this 2 stars is the concept, simply putting a cup in and some water and receiving coffee in less than 20 seconds.
  
  Fantastic thought, terrible coffee.
