Pretty, but doesn’t work.
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Disappointed in this product. This ice tea maker was on my Christmas list and I was very excited to receive it. Like the other reviews mine worked thru the initial cleaning cycle and then stopped working. I never even got one pitcher of tea out of it. Something in the switch I suspect. I returned it two days later. So, I will stick with the hideous, stained, still working twelve year ancient ice tea maker my husband had before we were married. -

Common Problem
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I bought two, one for my wife, and one for my mother. Same report as many others, it looks like these may have a lemon switch on them. My wife made two batches of tea after the cleaning cycle, after that her unit would not power on anymore. My Mom on the other hand was only able to get through the cleaning cycle, she never even got to make one pitcher of tea. Kind of embarrassing to give a gift that turns out to be junk. Oster will be getting both of my buys back, and I will be requesting a refund as this seems to be an issue with every unit at some point. Even their other units the tm20 is having the same problem. Hey Oster maybe you should try buying some buttons that are made in the USA next time, China is making you look terrible with these.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!!!! 0 for 2 at this location, and I don’t reckon it gets much worse than that.

Terrible – WORKED ONLY ONE TIME – NO STAR Rating
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Product was attractive and nice looking compared to other Tea Makers. Would have been fantastic if it was designed to really work.It only worked one time and NEVER came back on again. I have read similar reviews on other sites with the same issue, I only wish I read them before I bought.
Stay away from this and save yourself the money and hassle of returning it, unless they right the obvious defect, it’s a complete LEMON.
I wanted to rate it no stars, but the review required me to select as least one, that’s being too generous.

Broke after 3 Months
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
It made a excellent pitcher of tea when it worked. I really wanted a Mr. Tea product and could not find it anywhere so I bought the Oster. The design makes tea drip onto the counter after you take the pitcher away. It stopped working after only 3 months and I was not able to return it. I would warn anyone that this is a poor design and poorly constructed. Do not waste your money. -

2 of these didn’t work!!! Jarden/Oster Relations didn’t care!
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I got two of these, each from a different retailer, one only worked once and the other never worked at all. I called Jarden/Oster Relations, and they denied any problems with this tea maker, telling me they only had one other person call on the model not working (yet they questioned for the info off the plug). The whole thing just sends up red flags, esp with the reviews from the others saying that theirs didn’t work either. Seems to be certain problem with the model and I reckon Jarden/Oster Relations is in denial. Terrible business! They were rude and told me to call back in 4 weeks because they didn’t even have a replacement to send me. Looks like I don’t have a choice but to send it back. -

excellent iced tea maker but glass pitcher is very cheap
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
The iced tea maker itself is fine. It works fantastic with bagged tea and losse leaf tea. But, and this is huge, the glass pitcher is very cheap and thin. I’m a very careful person and mine cracked in the first month. I’m going back to the plastic iced tea makers. -

I wish I had bought it earlier
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is a fantastic ice tea maker. There are no water leaks on the counter and the hot water is delivered in the middle of the tea leaves/bags. This is a fantastic improvement over my last MR. you know who, iced tea maker. I would definately suggest it to everyone. -

two ordered none worked

I ordered two of these tea makers. They looked excellent and cycled through the cleaning cycle. That was the last time either of them would power on. -

More Expensive than the others, but well worth the money
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is the 4th Ice Tea Maker I have bought in the last 5 years. The others were 3 different models made by Mr. Coffee. I was not pleased with any of them. They did not last as I reckon they should have. After being used for a year or so, do to the poor quality of plastic the pitchers were made from, all of the pitchers started leaking and were terribly stained; plus each maker had other problems. The Oster unit costs more, but the quality seems to be well worth it. The way it is designed, it is possible to place a 1 gallon pitcher under the basket and make the iced tea directly into a 1 gallon pitcher or other containers. I have used it to make a large quantity of perfect hot tea also. Remove the filter that comes with it, use bouillon cubes and a disposable coffee filter, it is simple to make perfect, filtered bouillon directly into a measuring cup. -

Loved it when it would WORK!
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I was looking for an ice tea maker with a glass pitcher. Liked the way this one looked. Bought one, worked fine for a few days, then it wouldn’t turn on any more. The on button would fail to ‘click’ and light up, as it had before. Nothing. Thinking maybe I had gotten a lemon, chose to try a replacement since as I mentioned in the title, I really liked it, when it WORKED.Got the second one, very quickly. I’ve had it for a few days now. Made about 4 or 5 batches of tea with it. I went to make another one just now and…nothing. It won’t turn on just like the first one. I don’t know for sure, but I suspect it may have something to do with the automatic shutoff feature. I’ve tried unplugging and replugging it, but it made no difference, with either one. There is nothing in the instructions to address this. I’m going to call the help center, to see if there’s ANYTHING I could be doing different, seeing how it’s two of these now that have done this, but at this point, it looks like I’ll be requesting a return mark for this one as well and sending it back along with the first one I got, only for a refund this time, which is too terrible, as I really wanted this to work.
If this can be corrected in any way after I speak with the service department, as to possibly make it work, then I may change my review, but for now, I can only give it the one star for breaking so quickly and failing to function.

Another one consistent with many of the reviews above. Bought today at Sam’s Club. Went through initial cleaning cycle as per instructions. Unit would not come on to make first batch of tea. I will never know if a replacement with a similar unit would work. This one will be returned for refund today. Although I am one of those who until today would generally buy Oster over most other brands, I will be significantly less likely to buy another Oster product in the future.
